Huobi Stands in to Help Coronavirus Victims by Donating 10M Yuan

One of the leading cryptocurrency exchange based in Singapore, Huobi Group, focuses on blockchain and the digital economy. Huobi’s global branches are into procuring medicines from the international countries to Coronavirus affected areas in the minimum time possible.

The outbreak of this Coronavirus appeared first in Wuhan, China, at the end of the last year. The outbreak had spread at a rapid rate by affecting more than 4,600 individuals. The death toll had risen to 106 presently. The outbreak had extremely affected Chinese New Year plans and the multiplication of virus had seriously affected holiday travel plans around the country.

With the mounting pressure of insufficient supply of much-needed medicines, Huobi group had stepped in to help the Coronavirus victims by offering finance and logistics support for the outbreak by donating 10 million Yuan. Since China is the most affected country in the outbreak, Huobi is helping the victims by offering medicines in the Quarantine centers.

Further, in response to this outbreak, cryptocurrency organizations have offered to help with financial aid. A few days back, Changpeng Zhao, Binance’s CEO, declared that the global exchange platform had affirmed to give 10 million Yuan (Approx 1.44 million dollars) to help those who are affected by this outbreak.

This lead is followed by Huobi; yesterday, the Singapore based global trading venue declared the formation of Huobi Charity. This charity was established as a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, which is the first action of the organization to match the 10 million Yuan fund from Binance to match with its own.

Recently, the exchange tweeted that funds will be used to purchase protective equipment for those who are working with victims to control the spread of the virus and to fund the medical staff.

Later in another tweet, the philanthropic wing of Huobi offered few details as to how the funds are utilized. Furthermore, local offices in Japan, South Korea, Argentina, the US, Indonesia, Thailand, and other locations are presently collecting protective medical equipment for those who are affected by Coronavirus.

Huobi explains that it had already delivered 20,000 N95 breathing masks to hospitals in Huangguang in the province of Hubei, China. Similarly, more equipment from several other Huobi offices is expected to arrive in Hubei province over the next couple of days. Furthermore, the exchange is expected to provide additional 200,000 sets of protective equipment to the medical staff.
