Hyperion, a decentralized map platform designed to make maps open and decentralized, has announced its collaboration with Lik, a subsidiary of the Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP).
Hyperion’s integration with Lik is aimed at providing robust R&D cooperation in sensitive areas like the creation of privacy map technologies to provide premium quality security solutions, cryptographic protocols, and decentralized data layers. The Hyperion-Lik partnership will also help various other applications that use LBS or Location-based services to increase their business values.
Hyperion aims to make the global map data and services accessible to everyone all across the world, and Lik’s ability to provide world-class security services and tech solutions will be merged in this newly formed partnership, to make map services aggressively open to all.
Hyperion is based on the Spatial Consensus Protocol, which along with focusing on the spatial information, also focusses on the value transfers. In its vision to achieve a “One Map” solution, till now, Hyperion has launched three open and decentralized maps, namely Titan, Map3, and Atlas Chain. Titan is the first decentralized privacy map built on robust cryptographic primitives.
Map3 is the first decentralized map service network that is powered by One Map Computing Technology, supporting a wide network of decentralized Map3 nodes; it supports only 2B map services. Atlas chain, on the other hand, supports both 2B and 2C map services on the blockchain.
Lik has over 30 years of professional experience in creating intelligent security services, and its clients include shopping malls, real estate, hotels, data centers, property management, all under the SHKP business. SHKP is an HK based listed corporation currently having a market value of 390 billion HKD. The SHKP groups have developed many premium quality residential projects till now, and apart from real estate businesses, it also invests in various other important sectors like telecommunications, IT, transportation, etc.
