Blockchain School Celebrates Women’s Day With a Motto to Empower Women in Tech

Blockchain School Offers Scholarships

The Blockchain School, an integrated E-learning platform that aims to educate and provide solutions based on blockchain technology, has come up with an innovative solution to empower women in technology. As a giant leap towards this move, the Blockchain School has rolled out a scholarship program worth USD 400,000, exclusively for women named “Women in Blockchain Scholarship Program.”

The program was launched on March 8, 2020, to mark the International Women’s day to empower exactly 2,020 women in technology from all over the world.  The onus of this program is to reduce the gender gap in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math that is collectively called STEM that has widened since 1980. The crypto and the blockchain world also have only 5% of women involvement in the tech front. The unsupportive work environments for women at various levels, lack of inspiration, and the need for sacrifices in their personal lives hinder their career and growth prospects. The Blockchain School has come up with this innovative scholarship program, to help women spurt their career prospects and to restore the work gender balance that got disrupted after the 80s. Prior to the 80s, around 37% of all computer science graduates in the U.S. were women, but after that, the percentage gradually reduced to 18%.

Getting enrolled in the scholarship program to avail the full scholarship is also pretty simple. All it needs to be done is to visit the official website of the Blockchain School and then log onto the WIB Scholarship page, and then click on the “Apply Now” button; an application form will open up that needs to be filled up with original details. Then the screening team will give you further updates for your next move. The last date for filling in the application form is April 20, 2020.
