The Sandbox team is ecstatic to announce that their second LAND presale round is now officially sold out. The blockchain creation game has already sold out 7.5% of its total property, with brands such as Cryptokitties.
The blockchain-based virtual metaverse game The Sandbox has completely sold out with thousands of parcels asserted by the buyers who are keenly waiting for the game’s release.
Presale went live at 12 pm GMT, and in a few hours, the company ran out of LANDS. The rest 6,192 available presale LANDS were later bought by users in 5 days, with 90% of the LAND parcels sold within the very first hour itself.
With 5% of the entire Sandbox virtual game available, the 6,192 Lands were sold to 418 users that own the piece of The Sandbox Metaverse. New owners of a piece will be able to find their parcels over their marketplace profile or their wallet on Etherscan and OpenSea.
TSB Gaming’s second presale offers LAND pieces up to 6,192, the in-game spaces that are built on Ethereum. This lets the user create their own 3D voxel environment, which is interactive and comprises of social experiences. Approximately that is around 5% of the total amount of LAND parcels in the entire game.
It was announced last week by the publisher Animoca Brands that the presale had brought in 800 ETH (which is approximately $206,000 presently) within few hours of opening. TSB Gaming COO and Co-founder Sebastien Borget tweeted that the LAND presale had completely sold through. There are only limited editions of game assets left with the company for sale.
On talking to a press release, Borget said,
The success of the first two presales of The Sandbox strongly validates our approach to building a gaming metaverse, showing the growing interest from creators and gamers in the benefits of true digital ownership that will allow them to monetize their future creations within an open economy. We can see without any doubt that users are ready to jump into our vision of the Metaverse.
According to Animoca, early LAND buyers have included the Shaun the Sheep brand, Old Skull Games, Dapp.com, Cryptokitties, and My Crypto Heroes, which included some partners set to create their own virtual experience in The Sandbox. It is said that a third LAND presale will be announced in the near future.
Sandbox started up as a creation game on mobile with more than 40 million downloads, as per its publisher, and this new blockchain-driven creation experience is expected to launch later in 2020.
